PD: ISTE-Verizon Mobile Learning Academy

Introducing the  ISTE-Verizon Mobile Learning Academy ,  a wonderful  free  professional learning opportunity for K-12 public, private and charter schools in the United States that will help school teams of teachers, tech coaches and administrators prepare for successfully integrating mobile technology into learning and teaching. Teams of educators will work together to make the pedagogical and cultural change necessary to leverage mobile technology to improve and accelerate student learning. This program is funded by the Verizon Foundation and is limited to United States’ schools only, as per their commitment to the  White House’s Connected Program . ISTE is inviting school teams from across the continental United States to apply to participate in the first phase of the program. PD: Free Opportunity for Michigan Educators

Michigan Educators - you have the opportunities to participate in FREE professional development to learn about and implement blended learning in your classroom!  The course runs approximate 15 weeks, starting  August 11  and closing  November 24, 2014 . You can expect to spend about 4-5 hours per week on the course.  There is an option to receive 62 SCHECHs (available for $10) if desired  Details are found on the REMC Blended Learning Project page at  http://www.remc.org/projects/ blendedlearning/ .  Registration is found at  http://www.solutionwhere.com/ remcam/cw/main.asp  . You will select the face to face location that works best in your schedule, and  BLiC has graduated over 600 educators across the state of Michigan over the past two years. PD: Digital Leadership for Learning Day at Jackson County ISD

The Digital Leadership for Learning Day will be held Thursday, August 14 at Parma-Wstern High School.  The day is designed for Principals, Curriculum Directors, Superintendents, Technology Directors and Teacher Leaders. Learn what it means to be a digital leader and bring back new techniques and strategies to effectively establish a vision and implement a strategic process that creates a teaching and learning culture that provides students with essential skill sets. The day's keynote speaker is Eric Sheninger .  Eric is the award-winning Principal at New Milford High School located in Bergen County, NJ. What:  High Efficiency Administrator PD  - a professional development opportunity for administrators to learn about and practice implementing using technology to more efficiently communicate with stakeholders and save time.
