Tips & Tricks
Take a screenshot - press Home & Power button at same time
Hidden keys - hold .com key in browser app will show other domains
Split keyboard - pull keyboard apart to corners
In General Settings - Keyboard - International Keyboard - Add New Keyboard -Emoji keyboard - puts Globe icon next to space bar so you can access icons
Magnifying Glass - hold finger in typing area to get cursor where you want it

Calendars ($6.99) - plugs into Google Calendars and has great interface & looks
Typewith.me (website) - real time document collaboration
ClassDoJo (website) - students behavior tracker
GoSoapbox (app & website) - interaction between the speaker & the audience, can raise importance of question if multiple people select. ($80 a year)
ScreenChomp (free app) - lets you record whiteboard session with audio on your iPad - by TechSmith
GoodReader (99¢) - "can opener of all Microsoft Office documents" - can connect to your servers in one location, manage files; answer for getting students to your files; interfaces with DropBox.
SugarSync - check out for backups & syncing all devices
Evernote - note synchronization on all devices & web. Now does audio recordings
Skitch (free) - drawing app that interfaces into Evernote
Evernote Peek - load Evernote notepads into iPad, and turns them into flashcards; self checking
Rover (free) - browser that lets you browse Flash sites, partnering with educational sites so it is filtered
Photon ($5) - not filtered, also view flash sites
Splashtop Whiteboard ($19.99) - control computer from iPad

News: USA Today - most articles on the app; Time Magazine - making app, People - showcases iPad, interactive magazine with videos & music
Zite: "learns you the more you use it" to search online for materials/stories for you
NewsRack ($5): gathers all your RSS feeds and gives you them in list form; can put into InstaPaper
Instapaper ($5): turns NewsRack articles into customized paper

iBooks Author (Free) - easy creation of iBooks, can import documents only on a Mac
Pictello ($14.99) - younger crowd book creator
Book Creator ($6.99) - another app for book creation
ToonTastic - uses storyboards and cartoon characters to create a customized animated comic book
