Google Calendar - Unsubscribe from a Calendar

Sometimes you no longer want a calendar - you just don't need it anymore.  Yet, it is still a calendar either owned by or used by other people.  In this case, you cannot delete the calendar, but you can unsubscribe from it.  This will remove it from your calendar list, but others will still have access to it.

(Here is a video on How to Unsubscribe from a Calendar if you prefer.)

To unsubscribe from a calendar:

Go to your calendar list, and hover over the calendar you want to delete to find the Options menu (or More Menu) -

Choose Settings and sharing -

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the settings - the options for removing a calendar are there.  Select Unsubscribe -

You will get a confirmation window, select to Remove calendar -
