From the NSF website - The NSF 2026 Idea Machine is a competition to help set the U.S. agenda for fundamental research in science and engineering. Participants can earn prizes and receive public recognition by suggesting the pressing research questions that need to be answered in the coming decade, the next set of “ Big Ideas ” for future investment by the National Science Foundation (NSF). From the Mini-Grant Coordinator: We are pleased to announce that the Mini Grants and FOCUS Grant will be available again for the 2018-2019 school year. The Guido A. and Elizabeth H. Binda Foundation has generously provided the Mini Grant Program with $20,000 for twenty awards and up to $1,000 for projects that align with district-approved curriculum.  In addition, one FOCUS Grant of up to $5,000 will be awarded.  The FOCUS Grant project needs to "focus" on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with the emphasis being on Mathematics and Science curriculum.  These grants are available to all public school teachers and support staff in Barry, Branch, and Calhoun Counties in Michigan. Applications for the 2017-18 MACUL Grants are being accepted until May 15! Purpose: To encourage and support members interested in promoting effective instructional uses of the computer or related-equipment. Grant Goal: Each project should focus on an instructional use of the computer or related equipment, which has the potential of being replicated in other educational settings. Grant Limit per Application: $1,500 Eligible Applicants: MACUL members who are classroom teachers, coordinators, administrators, or higher education personnel.
